DIY gold clogs

I have been eyeballing gold pairs of Swedish Hasbeens for years now but never quite getting the money to afford a pair. One day I came across a brand called Moheda and went to their outlet section on the website. Bought a pair of white sandal clogs, which is a good base colour to use for dyeing leather.

Then bought this leather shoe dye  in 504 Old Gold. First I put masking table on the sole, platform, and on the buckle bits.

Let the shoes dry thoroughly!

One first application I noticed that the colour application was a pit patchy, so on the 2nd application I poured the paint in to a yogurt pot and applied again, still with a brush. All in all I did 3 layers making sure all the layers were painted evenly. Making the sure the shoes were dry after each application.

Really happy with the end result.
