I used to have shell toes back in the day. 90s that is. I had them in white with silver  strips. A few friends had  Stan Smiths but I would scrunch my nose up in disgust. You see for me Shell toes have always been the better of the trainers for me and until now I have realised why. Shell toes are sassy and Stan Smiths are blah, Shell toes are cool 80s RUN DMC endorsed.
Stan Smith are blah tennis shoes.

They are now referred to as Superstars and come in all different colours of the rainbow and then some courtesy of
Pharell but to me they will always be Shell toes, white and as box fresh as I can help.
